RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT

Our aim is to support all East View Housing residents to reach their full potential, which includes offering educational and employment opportunities as well as many different enrichment activities.

Through working together with local colleges, education organisations and with enrichment activities, we aim to provide the skills to enable our residents to thrive in our homes.

We also want to ensure our residents enjoy life outside of our homes is important to us and we offer a great variety of enrichment activities. They are a great way for residents to develop skills, have fun and socialise with other residents so we try to encourage as much participation as possible.

KEY WORKERS

All individuals who live within East View Housing’s residential services are allocated a named key worker. A key worker is a trained member of the support staff team whose role is to ensure that the person’s needs are being met. The key worker acts as the middle person between the individual and the wider staffing team. Key workers play an integral role in an individual’s life and in supporting the staffing team who work in the home to ensure that a high quality personalised service is maintained.

LIFE PLANS

Our life plans work with our residents to help them think about their present situation and to plan and organise their future. A life plan is worked on by the individual and their key worker to gather information about what is important to them, including likes/dislikes, people who are important to them, how they would like to live and their plans for the future.

Life plans are reviewed and updated regularly so that any changes in your support or plans can be acted upon quickly. Life plans are based on a person centred approach to help you stay in control of your life.

RIGHTS & CHOICES

We place the rights of the resident at the forefront of our philosophy. It is accepted practice for individuals to express and exercise their rights. We aim to assist each individual residents to maintain their civil rights.

We will help residents choose the best way forward from a range of lifestyle options for every aspect of their life. We will aim to enable residents to exercise the opportunity to select from a range of options in all aspects of their lives. We will enable residents to realise personal aspirations and abilities in all aspects of their lives.
