Where We Are

OUR LOCAL AREA - HASTINGS IN EAST SUSSEX

Our homes are situated in and around Hastings, a large picturesque seaside town in East Sussex. Its name is linked to the famous Battle of Hastings, which took place 8 miles north of the town in 1066. Today, the town is a fishing port and is the UK’s largest beach-based fishing fleet.

SHOPPING

The town boasts a bustling shopping centre with a whole host of retail shops, restaurants and charity shops, with its main train station conveniently situated just north of Priory Meadow Shopping Centre. Set between two cliffs you can find Hastings Old Town. Step back in time and enjoy narrow streets (known locally as ‘twittens’), unique pubs, eateries, independents, antique shops and historic buildings.

ENRICHMENT

With three miles of coastline, there’s plenty to see and do. Fishing boats, Shipwreck Museum, Fishermen’s Museum and Bluereef Aquarium can be found at the eastern end, with the excitement of arcades, funfair rides and crazy golf in the centre.
